National Health Care Reform's
Impacts on Southeast Wisconsin

With initial provisions of the landmark national health care reform bill now being implemented, many questions regarding its impact on our state and region remain unanswered. Will national health care reform alleviate the state's substantial budget problems, or exacerbate them? How will it impact health care costs and quality for state and local businesses and consumers? Will vulnerable citizens in southeast Wisconsin have greater access to health care, or will the push toward universal coverage expose a shortage of providers and services for the poor?

Join the Public Policy Forum as we host a Viewpoint Luncheon to explore the impacts of health care reform on our state and region. We will begin with remarks from Karen Timberlake, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Then, we will get reaction from a panel of local health care experts:
Bevan Baker, Commissioner, City of Milwaukee Department of Public Health
C.C. Henderson, President and CEO, Milwaukee Health Services, Inc.
William Petasnick, President and CEO, Froedtert Hospital
Nick Turkal, MD, President and CEO, Aurora Health Care

Moderated by Kimberly Kane, Director of Client Solutions, The Novo Group (former WTMJ-TV Medical Reporter)
